The only private aircraft maintenance center running business at Ataturk Airport, MNG TECHNIC attended Kocaeli University Civil Aviation Academy’s graduation ceremony.

The ceremony took place in the university’s Aslanbey Campus and major authorities including Kartepe Mayor Şükrü Karabalık, Deputy Rector of Kocaeli University Prof. Dr. Ayşe Sevim Gökalp, SHYO (Civil Aviation Academy) Principle Prof. Dr. Erhan Bütün, MNG TECHNIC Human Resources and Corporate Communications Director Gamze Yılmaz, MNG TECHNIC Training Director Ahmet Muhtar Çakıroğlu, sector representatives, academicians and students’ relatives were among the participants of the organization.

Graduation ceremony started with homage and national anthem. Making a speech at the ceremony MNG TECHNIC Human Resources and Corporate Communications Director Gamze Yılmaz said: “This is the moment all these graduates start a brand new life and I truly believe that they will work even harder and do their best to be successful in this life from now on. Kocaeli University’s respectful academicians have trained you for this moment. As MNG TECHNIC we know how important this moment and your training so far and are determined to give a high priority our next generations. We work so hard and spend so much time to offer the best working conditions to our young generations just as they deserved. I would like you to know that me and my colleagues deeply focus on creating new horizons and innovation in sector.

Director Gamze Yılmaz also gave some presents to graduates who completed their education on the first, the second and the third rank in Aircraft Mechanic, Electric-Electronic and Civil Aviation Transport  Business Administration Divisions. The ceremony continued with throwing montarboard and ended after diplomas were presented to graduates. Relatives and friends of new graduates were happy and some quite emotional moments were recorded. 

MNG TECHNIC Training Center provides technical training activities in aircraft maintenance sector both to its own personnel and Turkish Civil Aviation sector by offering the highest international standards. MNG TECHNIC’s training activities are not limited with domestic companies. MNG TECHNIC also keeps offering training in foreign countries. 

The latest and expressive sample for MNG TECHNIC’s training in other countries was in Russia. MNG TECHNIC reached an agreement with Russian airline and aircraft maintenance company on June 01st, 2010 . According to that MNG TECHNIC has started A319/320/321, B737 NG and B737 CL trainings.

Furthermore, Human Resources and Corporate Communications Directorship of MNG TECHNIC made a statement on the issue and informed: “Our company started - Aircraft Maintenance Technician Training Courses - on March 22nd, 2010 with cooperation of İŞKUR to meet the sector’s skilled personnel need in maintenance sector and to contribute employment. At the moment 40 trainees are attending the courses and it has 50% employment guarantee.  The next training course is planned to start September 2010 with 50 trainees’ participation. Our next aim is to expand number of Training Center’s class and instructor and to offer training quality with synthetic training equipment. All will be possible with MNG TECHNIC’s new hangar project which is on construction process in Atatürk Airport”.

The only private aircraft maintenance center running business at Ataturk Airport, MNG TECHNIC has now completed all the work to start EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection System) training courses. EWIS is known as PART-145 training course.

Releasing a bulleting on the issue, MNG TECHNIC noted: “According to EASA’a ED Decision 2008/007/R dated 29.08.2008, MNG TECHNIC has been approved as authorized training center for EWIS. EWIS trainig courses have to be taken by all Technical Department Staff, Cabin Crew, Flight Team working according to Part-145 organization”.

MNG TECHNIC informed in the bulletin that after completing all the process to give courses in Turkish language as the first step, additional preparation to offer the courses in English language will also be planned. MNG TECHNIC is one of few first companies which is authorized to give JAA Training Organization in Europe. Now the company has proudly added another first to its training activities by EWIS Training Courses.

Authorized as Aircraft Maintenance Company by the world’s major aviation authorities including Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHY/JAR-145), Europe Aviation Safety Agency (EASA PART-145),  the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA); MNG TECHNIC Aircraft Maintenance Services Inc. continues recording more achievements. Besides its proven achievements in aircraft maintenance area, MNG TECHNIC now also adds new ones in Aircraft Maintenance Training.

Together with 145 Training Authority MNG TECHNIC holds SHY/JAR-147, EASA PART-147 certifications as Aircraft Maintenance and Training Center company. MNG TECHNIC Training Center was audited by EASA subjected PART-147 for two days between May 05th-06th 2010. The auditing has been successfully completed and no negative finding was recorded.

MNG TECHNIC Training Center also carries SHY/JAR 66 Certification Exams with Directorate General of Civil Aviation authorization.  Providing high quality training activities, MNG TECHNIC meets its personnel’s and Turkish Civil Aviation sector’s technical training needs in aircraft maintenance area.

Running business as the only private aircraft maintenance center in Ataturk Airport, MNG TECHNIC organized a bowling tournament for the staff.

The tournament gave opportunity the staff to get away from busy working hours for a while, also a great contribution to increase team sprit, inside communication, motivation and performance within personnel.  There were pretty tough games between teams but it was nothing but such fun for all MNG TECHNIC personnel.

Organized by MNG TECHNIC Human Resources and Corporate Communications Directorship, General Manager and Vice-Chairman Mr. Levent Uzunokur, Deputy General Manager Mr. Fikret Geckili and other MNG TECHNIC Managers joined the tournament. The winner in the end was Supply Directorship team which gathered Ergin Gurbuz, Burak Ozogus, Akin Temur, Okan Kurt, Fermani Ulug. 

In Ladies Category, Cost Control Directorship’s Derya Afacan recorded the highest score while Cem Acir from Administrative Directorship recorded the highest score in men category. The winners of bowling tournament  took their cups and medals from General Manager and Vice-Chairman Mr. Levent Uzunokur.

MNG TECHNIC, the first and only private Aircraft Maintenance Center in International Ataturk Airport in Istanbul, Turkey, attended the MRO Asia which took place in Hong Kong between 9^th  and 10^th of November.

MNG TECHNIC, which has the most favourite stand in the Fair, aims not only to be a leader in Turkish MRO Sector but also be one of the most known MRO company in Europe and Middle East by increasing its capacity to 6 times of its present capacity. MNG TECHNIC is the first and the only private Aircraft Maintenance Center in Ataturk Airport, MNG TECHNIC achieved to receive ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Standard and OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management Standard certifications. High quality standard of MNG TECHNIC has been now officially confirmed by these certifications.

MNG TECHNIC is the first and the only private Aircraft Maintenance Center in Ataturk Airport, MNG TECHNIC participated MRO Europe 2009 exhibition held in Germany between 23rd -24th September.

MRO Europe Exhibition is visited by professionals of aviation industry and MNG TECHNIC’s booth was one of the most visited booths in the fair with its world wide references, high quality service standards and welcoming staff. MNG TECHNIC displayed scale model of “New Hangar Project” in exhibition which also took a great attention from the visitors. Construction of New Hangar is continuing and the company announced with this new hangar MNG TECHNIC’s current capacity will increase by 12 times.

Established in 2002, MNG TECHNIC has offered maintenance services to approximately 320 airplanes so far. MRO Europe Exhibition is a regular event for MNG TECHNIC and the company takes part in this world wide known exhibition every year. Another stand alone job have been succesfully completed on a Airbus A320 aircraft.

The aircraft had a ground accident and damaged the horizontal stabilizer which resulted replacement of horizontal stabilizer and elevator together with a new tailcone assemblies. Operator company had granted the rectification of the damage to MNG TECHNIC just 2 weeks ago.

The replacement and extensive repair has been completed by special equipment including slings by MNG TECHNIC structural experts.

MNG TECHNIC is the first and the only private Aircraft Maintenance Center in Ataturk Airport Istanbul Turkey won the auction organized by DHMI (General Directorate of Airports Authority) Turkey about constructing a new hangar in Ataturk Airport on 6th of March.

It is declared by the management of MNG TECHNIC that the project will be implemented in four section. The total size of the hangar is 64.000m² and the first section of hangar’s construction will begin as soon as possible. This section’s size is 16.000m² while the apron size is 57.000 m² including the all possibilities about any type of workshops about MRO and painting capabilities.

With this investment, MNG TECHNIC will be improved its capacity to 12 times of its current size. MNG TECHNIC will have the possibility to serve 45 planes at the same time and employ 2000 workers when the whole project is finished.

Moreover with this new project, MNG TECHNIC is going to be not only a leader in Turkish MRO sector but also it will be one of the most known MRO companies in Europe and MiddleEast. 

MNG TECHNIC is the first and the only private Aircraft Maintenance Center in Ataturk Airport Istanbul Turkey joined Aircraft Maintenance Fair. The fair took place in Moscow, Russia on March 02nd -03th.

MNG TECHNIC is the first and the only private Aircraft Maintenance Center in Ataturk Airport Istanbul Turkey became the accredited center for SHY/JAR-66 by Ministry of Transport and Communication Directorate General of Civil Aviation Turkey. This opportunity provided MNG TECHNIC to give the exams that determines the technicians’ limitations about SHY/JAR-66 level Maintenance. Furthermore, MNG TECHNIC Training Center became the first accredited SHY/JAR-66 level private Training Center in Turkey.

Pegasus Airlines choose MNG TECHNIC for its B 737-500 type aircrafts’ C Check service.

Maintenance for Pegasus Airlines owned aircraft is planned to start on January 12th in MNG TECHNIC Maintenance Station located in Istanbul Ataturk Airport.

MNG TECHNIC, the Turkish MRO owned by MNG Group of Companies, is expanding its Customer range.

Although the Global Crisis forces companies to shrink their size, MNG TECHNIC has chosen a complete different path. Turkey’s biggest MRO in number of third party Airframe Maintenance has signed a 3 years exclusive contract with the Croatian Charter Carrier, Dubrovnik Airlines. Dubrovnik Airlines is currently operating 5 MD-80 Series Aircraft, and created with the backing of Dubrovnik-based heavy freight shipping company Atlantska Plovidba. MNG TECHNIC has already accomplished 2 C Checks for Dubrovnik Airlines and the Aircraft were delivered back.

Besides of expanding its customer range, MNG TECHNIC is also extending its in-house capabilities. Currently, MNG TECHNIC has accomplished RIB 5 modifications for 2 A320 type Aircraft from Freebird of Turkey, and Bluewings of Germany. Also, the Pylon modification in accordance with SB 54-1037 on Spanish Carrier Swiftair’s B737-300 Cargo Aircraft has been performed with success.

MNG TECHNIC officials also informed that another MD-80 Series Aircraft of Swiftair has arrived in MNG TECHNIC for a C Check.
